Pakistan earns $426 million from exporting IT services in 2 months
ISLAMABAD-Pakistan has earned $426.070 million from providing different Information Technology (IT) services in various countries in the first two months of the current fiscal year 2022-23.
This shows a growth of 1.45% from the $419.980 million earned from the provision of services in the corresponding months of the 2021-22 financial year, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported. In July-August (2022-23), exports of computer services increased by 10.10%, from $312.620 million in the previous fiscal year to $344.190 million this year.
Among IT services, exports of software consulting services increased by 7.20% from $113.566 million to $121.740 million, while exports of hardware consulting services fell by 36%. 31%, from $0.515 million to $0.328 million. Exports and imports of computer software-related services jumped 31.24% from $73.552 million to $96.529 million, while exports of repair and maintenance services fell to $0.187 million from $0.192 million bucks.
