HBK merges into Vertical Solutions to improve IT services

Canfield, Ohio-based HBK CPAs & Consultants merges with Pittsburgh-based managed service provider Vertical Solutions to combine operations with its subsidiary HBK IT.

The amalgamated companies will be renamed Vertiliocity and will operate out of Pittsburgh, Clark, New Jersey and the Denver area. Current President of Vertical Solutions, Bruce Nelson, will lead the combined company, which has estimated gross annual sales of $ 10 million.

Founded in 1993 and acquired by Pittsburgh-based information systems consulting firm RL Nelson and Associates in 2007, Vertical Solutions advises companies on their technology-based business management systems. The company offers a range of IT related services and support, including managed IT support, advanced threat protection, Office 365 management and support, process related technology tools and software, as well as the purchase and installation of equipment.

Vertical Solutions specializes in working with healthcare companies and solutions, which will strengthen HBK’s support to its more than 600 healthcare clients.

The Vertical Solutions team has extensive experience in organizational workflows, systems and software, and will support our initiative to provide relevant and sophisticated technology support to our clients.

With Vertical Solutions operating remotely around Denver, where about a third of its customers are based, the merger expands HBK’s reach in the west, giving the combined companies an IT presence in the three main markets of Pittsburgh, Denver and the New York Region subway. HBK can now also provide IT, managed service provider and cybersecurity services to its accounting and financial services customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida.
