HAMPSHIRE COUNTY
Hampshire County Public Health Facility Project – $1,905,300.00
The Hampshire County Commission will renovate and build its current facilities. The construction will allow the ward to create an area of negative pressure that will isolate patients with infectious diseases and protect patients who may be infected by others.
Hampshire County Public Health Service Project – $484,333.00
The Hampshire County Commission will purchase a mobile health unit with the aim of serving low to middle income people who have difficulty obtaining medical services due to a lack of transport or physical mobility. The mobile unit will provide services such as COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, annual flu vaccinations, child vaccinations and annual health screenings.
MINERAL COUNTY
Mineral County Public Health Facility Project – $2,958,700.00
The Mineral County Commission will build an addition to the current health department, which will include a drive-thru. The construction will allow the local health department to test people for COVID-19 while that person remains in their vehicle. Additionally, a negative pressure zone will be constructed to isolate infectious disease patients and protect infection-susceptible patients from others. These rooms will provide isolation from other patients and visitors, and provide additional protection for caregivers.
Mineral County Public Health Service Project – $447,500.00
The Mineral County Commission will purchase a mobile health unit to serve low-to-moderate income people who have difficulty obtaining medical services due to lack of transportation or physical mobility. The mobile unit will provide services such as COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, annual flu vaccinations, child vaccinations and annual health screenings.
