Comea Shelter “pay it forward” to families in need in the community

CHEYENNE, Wyoming (Wyoming News Now) – The Comea Shelter has given back to the community, due to an overabundance of donations from community members and organizations. Families were able to obtain winter clothing for little or nothing.

“We have an overabundance of clothes that we have had throughout the pandemic and throughout the year, so we want to clean up and give back to the community because the community is so generous to us, we constantly do giving, gives us what we need, but we have an overabundance of things, so we just give back, ”said Josh Arrospide, Comea Programs Coordinator.

Families in need were able to obtain children’s winter boots, winter coats, socks, underwear and more. The shelter asked families for a donation of $ 5; however, those who could not were sponsored by the shelter. Arrospide said their priority was to meet the needs of the community and locate families who needed resources.

“The final objective would, of course, be to clean this parking lot; but really, contact as many families as possible because we want people to know what Comea is doing and we are constantly looking for ways to give back. Even though we are a safety net for the community, understanding these clothes and helping the children, it’s the little things in life that we want to appreciate and show people. Aid comes in many different shapes and sizes, ”said Arrospide.
