Boots to Business Reboot is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the US Small Business Administration. The course provides an overview of entrepreneurship and the fundamentals applicable to business ownership. Veterans of all eras, active duty members (including the National Guard and Army Reserve) and spouses are eligible to participate. During the restart, participants learn about the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to start a business, including steps to develop business concepts, how to develop a business plan, and information about the SBA resources available to help. The program is facilitated by subject matter experts from the SBA and their extensive network of qualified business advisors. To register for this workshop, go to sbavets.force.com.

The SBA also has its Veterans Awareness Center: sba.gov/page/veterans-business-outreach-center-vboc-program. The VBOC program is designed to provide entrepreneurial development services such as business trainings, counseling and resource partner referrals to transitional service members, veterans, members of the National Guard and Reserve from the l military and military spouses interested in starting or growing a small business. The SBA has 22 organizations participating in this cooperation agreement and serving as support services to the VBOC. Regional centers can tailor support services to specific client needs, including international business, franchising, internet marketing, accounting and more.
